UTEP Miners Head to Paris for 2024 Olympics
Six UTEP track and field athletes (one current, five former) will compete in the 2024 Olympics in Paris. This continues the program's long tradition of sending athletes to the Games, dating back to 1952.
Among the qualifiers are hurdler Tobi Amusan (Nigeria) competing in her third Olympics and discus thrower Samantha Hall (Jamaica) aiming for gold. Newcomers like sprinter Niesha Burgher (Jamaica) will also make their Olympic debut.
