UTEP and Texas Tech Health El Paso Welcome Second MedFuture Cohort

The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) and Texas Tech Health El Paso have partnered to announce the second cohort for MedFuture, an initiative designed to cultivate El Paso's next generation of physicians. This program offers a direct pathway for five qualified high school students from El Paso to attend medical school at Texas Tech Health El Paso's Foster School of Medicine after completing their undergraduate studies at UTEP. The second MedFuture cohort includes Lonzo Shelley, Rayce Shamaley Korz, Grethel Olvera, Gerardo Garcia, and Crystal Armenta. These students will receive strong pre-med support throughout the program and gain valuable healthcare experience to prepare them for their future careers. Read More.
